Reinalie was born and raised in Ozamiz City, Philippines. She first explored oil and acrylic paint on canvas through a group of local artists in the Philippines. As a community development worker, most of her artistic subjects are reflections of cultural diversity, local scenery and life in the local community. She came to Fort McMurray in June 2004 and continued her artistic pursuit by capturing Alberta’s natural landscapes along with its rich and diverse cultural scenery. From her home to the community, Reinalie continues to share her art work in various group shows including the Grand Opening of MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery in Fort McMurray, Keyano Art Gallery, Fort McMurray Public Library and the Oil Sands Discovery Centre.
Her recent painting “Going to Work” was selected to be a magazine cover for NorthWord Magazine’s 10th issue. In addition to her artistic interests, Reinalie has published several poetry pieces both online and on print.
